You might already know Kodak by being the most famous film making company of all time. She is a lot less famous about creating the world’s first digital camera, especially since she filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy very recently due to the rapid decline of non-digital cameras in the latest years.
Kodak must be kicking themselves since 1975, since they had developed the world’s first digital camera, way before others began to even think of the concept, in 1975. The camera would use up 16 batteries, take a photograph of 0.01 megapixels that would then write on a tape attached to the device, only to play it on a television screen through an early type of not-so-personal computer.
Eventually, Kodak didn’t want to go digital since they believed it was a fad, and film cameras would continue providing better image quality. Funny how things turn out, right?
