There are many ways for your cat to communicate. Most famously, cats meow but this would not be the case if it weren’t for humans. As it turns out, cats only meow to communicate for humans, and, more often than not, ask for food!
Cats, however, are not the greedy, heartless pets we think them to be. In fact, they also meow in order to greet people, ask to be let in or when elderly cats are confused.
In order to communicate with each other cats rely almost exclusively to body language, with the occasional screaming in fights and yowling in order to attract mates!
