Why should our seat be upright during take off?

All of the airlines companies impose strict measures during taking off, as they wish to ensure safety. But why should we have our seats upright during taking off, as well as landing?

Safety concern. This is the answer. Our seat must be in the uncomfortable position upright during take off and landing, because if not, it remains unlocked and can catapult forward in the event of a crash, so the thrusting forward of that seat can cause passenger injury.
