  33. She was the daughter of Alma Sophia, a housewife
  34. And William Joseph Kappelhoff, a music teacher and choir master
  35. All of her grandparents were German immigrants
  36. For most of her life, Day reportedly believed she had been born in 1924
  37. And reported her age accordingly
  38. It was not until her 95th birthday when the Associated Press found her birth certificate

  40. She is the youngest of three siblings
  41. She had two older brothers
  42. Richard, who died before her birth
  43. And Paul, two to three years older
