1. His real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams.
2. He was born on May 6, 1987.
3. He was born in South Philadelphia.
4. He has an older sister, Nasheema Williams.
5. Meek Mill’s father was killed when Meek was five years old, apparently during an attempted robbery.
6. As a kid, he became acquainted with another one of his father’s brothers, who went by the MC name “Grandmaster Nell”, who was a pioneering disc jockey (DJ) in the late-1980s Philadelphia hip-hop scene and influenced rap artists Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
7. During his early teenage years, Meek Mill often took part in rap battles, under the pseudonym Meek Millz.
8. When he was 18, while walking to a corner store armed, Meek Mill was arrested for illegally possessing a firearm and was beaten up by the police.
9. In 2008, Mill was convicted of drug dealing and gun possession and was sentenced to 11 to 23 months in prison by Judge Genece Brinkley.
10. On March 11, 2017, Mill was arrested at a local airport in St. Louis, Missouri for assaulting two pedestrians. Shortly after his arrest and court appearance, he was given a court summons. On November 6, 2017, he was sentenced to two to four years in state prison for violating his parol.
11. On April 24, 2018, Mill was released pending the outcome of the appeal to the Pennsylvania supreme court.
12. The rapper began dating rapper and singer Nicki Minaj in early 2015 but after two years they broke up.
