One thing everyone can agree on is that there is a Door to Hell. It has been found, anyone can see it, it’s right here on earth. But where?
It is located in Turkmenistan, close to Russia. Here is the back story: Russian scientists lit a source of natural gas 1971, for tests, thinking it will burn out in a matter of days. They were literally monumentally wrong. The fire is still burning today, making it a popular monument, and wasting a precious resource. Here is a gallery with some photos:
