  2. He was born on April 12, 1987
  3. He is an American singer, songwriter, and musician
  4. Best known as the lead vocalist of Panic! at the Disco
  5. Of which he is the only original member remaining
  6. Urie was born in St. George, Utah
  7. His family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, when he was two years old
  8. He is the fifth and youngest child born to Grace and Boyd Urie
  9. He is of about one quarter Polynesian descent from Hawaii
  10. Through his mother’s side
  11. He was raised in an LDS family
  12. But left the faith around 17
  13. Due to displeasure with the church and not believing in its ideology
  14. Urie attended Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas
  15. There he met future Panic! bassist Brent Wilson in his guitar class
  16. Wilson asked Urie to try out for a band he was in
  17. Since they needed a replacement guitarist
  18. Urie described himself as a “spaz in high school”
  19. And explained that one student would always bully him
  20. He worked at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in order to pay his band’s rent for their practice space
  21. At the cafe, Urie often sang for customers
  22. Urie possesses a tenor voice range that spans four octaves
  23. His range extends D2 to C7
  24. His voice is known for being “extensive” and “versatile”
  25. Notably after the release of “This Is Gospel” (2013)
  26. Urie has cited Frank Sinatra, Queen, David Bowie, and Tom DeLonge as his biggest influences
  27. Urie says that he has “experimented” with men
  28. But says, “I guess if I had to classify myself, I’d say I’m straight.”
  29. In July 2018, Urie described himself as pansexual
  30. In a radio show, he shared how he and wife Sarah Orzechowski met
  31. She was in a relationship with somebody else when they briefly met in one of his shows
  32. Eight months later, Hayley Williams from Paramore brought Sarah to one of Urie’s shows
  33. And re-introduced them as she was single again at that time
  34. He even mentioned in an interview in 2011 with SPIN Magazine that when he met her, he wrote the song “Sarah Smiles” from Vices & Virtues album

  37. In September 2011, it was confirmed that Urie was engaged to Orzechowski
  38. The couple got married on April 27, 2013
  39. In February 2017, Urie moved out of his home in Los Angeles, California, to an undisclosed location
  40. He said the move was to get away from excessive attention from his fans
  41. He also said that he did not feel safe in his own home
  42. Urie has said that he has been diagnosed with ADHD
  43. And was prescribed medication for the condition at a young age
  44. He says that he likes to be open about his mental health to his fans
  45. He recently collaborated with Taylor Swift on her song “ME!”
