Adam Saleh is an American YouTube personality, vlogger, actor and rapper from New York City, USA best known for his YouTube videos.

1. Adam Mohsin Yehya Saleh was born 4 June 1993 in in Brooklyn.

2. His parents are from Yemen.

3. He has three nephews, Hamzah, Jamal, Yousif and Mohsin, and two nieces, Reema and Deena.

4. He first attended Central Park East High School and then John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

5. He started making YouTube videos in 2012 as a part of his YouTube channel “TrueStoryASA” with his college friends Sheikh Akbar and Abdullah Ghuman.

6. He told an interviewer: “Sheikh, Abdullah, and I went to college in New York City. One day we were really bored and we just decided to do a video for fun. We started to upload videos on YouTube and Alhamdulillah (praise be to God) it got us to where we are right now. We had a lot of interviews on TV shows.”

7. Saleh became part of another collaborative channel “3MH” with Sheikh Akbar, Karim Metwaly and Slim Albaher. TrueStoryASA and 3MH split up in May 2015.

8. Since then he has created many videos as a solo YouTuber.

9. He has also appeared in the American buddy cop comedy-drama action film American Sharia. Saleh first released the single “Diamond Girl” on May 3, 2015 featuring Sheikh Akbar and Mumzy Stranger as a part of TrueStoryASA.

10. On 16 August 2015 he released his debut solo single “Tears” featuring Zack Knight as a tribute to his cousin.

11. Later on during that year, he released another single, ” Survivor”, on October 18, 2015. Saleh released his third single “Tomorrow’s Another Day” on December 4, 2015.

12. A video titled “Racial Profiling Experiment'” uploaded on Saleh’s YouTube channel in October 2014 became viral around the world. In the video Saleh and Sheikh Akbar argued with each other in front of a police officer wearing western outfits but the cop ignored them.

13. Few minutes later they fight again while dressed in Muslim clothes but this time the cop stops them and behaves rudely with them. The video received more than 200,000 views on YouTube and it was also picked up by media. Public reaction to the video was against the police officer. Later Saleh admitted that the video was a hoax.

14. In December 2015, the Daily Mail reported that Scotland Yard spent £80,000 on Saleh, £26,00 of which was for performing in London and Manchester.

15. The rest was for the release of the single “Survivor”, which was written by a British counter-terror officer, and whose lyrics exhibit a positive message intended to disuade Muslim from extremism.

16. The lyrics of the single includes the line: “I’m trying to put my homies on the right track, so people ain’t scared of every Asian with a backpack.”.

17. The Daily Mail also referred to Saleh as a “criminal” for his YouTube video in which he steals his manager’s car to prank him, and drives it with one hand while holding the camera and saying that he cannot legally drive in the United Kingdom.

18. His self-titled channel has over 1.1 million subscribers.

19. His other channel, ASAvlogs, has earned over 2.2 million subscribers.

20. In December 2016, he was removed from a New York-bound plane in London after speaking Arabic on the aircraft.
