Another super hero movie is coming up in the movie theatres and if don’t’t already know, its Venom.
Venom is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics and we are looking foward to the release of the movie.
These are some facts you should know about it!
- The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer from a screenplay by Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner, and Kelly Marcel, and stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom, alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, and Reid Scott.
- What are we going to see in the movie, you ask? Well, following a scandal, journalist Eddie Brock attempts to revive his career by investigating the Life Foundation, but comes into contact with an alien symbiote that bonds with Brock, giving him superpowers as long as they share the same body.
- Tom Hardy is portraying Eddie Brock a.ka Venom.
- Michelle Williams is playing Anne Weying, a district attorney and Eddie’s girlfriend.
- Principal photography began on October 23, 2017,with filming set to take place in Atlanta and New York City.
- In December, Fleischer and Hardy said that the film was “important to the Marvel universe”, and that it was primarily based on the Venom: Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes miniseries.
- Venom will have its world premiere in Los Angeles on October 1, 2018,and is scheduled for a theatrical release in the United States on October 5, 2018,following an initial release in various other countries on October 3, 2018.
- The music for the film is created by Ludwig Göransson.
- Venom was one of the first films to take advantage of the new post-production facilities at Sony Pictures’ Stage 6 building in Culver City, California.
- Fleischer, Hardy, and Ahmed promoted the film at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con, where the audience was given Venom masks and chanted “We are Venom”.
