  3. The series was created by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang.
  4. During the first two seasons Ansari in the lead role of Dev Shah, a 30-year-old actor, mostly following his romantic, professional, and personal experiences.
  5. The first season was set in New York City, and consisted of ten episodes.
  6. The second season, which takes place in Italy and New York, consists of ten episodes and was released on May 12, 2017.
  7. A third season, titled Master of None Presents: Moments in Love, premiered on Netflix on May 23, 2021.
  8. Master of None has won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe.
  9. The series has received critical acclaim, appeared on multiple year-end top ten lists, and received multiple awards and nominations.
  10. The show’s title alludes to the phrase “Jack of all trades, master of none”.

  36. Incidentally, his parent’s stories in the show are based on real life. It was said that his in his mother’s first day in the USA, she said that she had only known his father for a week and when he was at work (as a doctor), she just sat on the couch and cried that night.
  37. Master of None’s third season will focus on Lena Waithe’s Denise and the ups and downs of her marriage with Alicia (Naomie Ackie). So, one can expect an absence of Dev Shah’s (Ansari) romantic and professional misadventures in this season.
  38. Rather than Master of None Season 3, the new season will be released under a special title: Master of None Presents Moments In Love. The change in the title makes sense given the narrative shifts and the focus on matrimonial romance.
  39. The 3rd season will consist of 5 episodes only.
  40. British Actress Naomi Ackie plays Alicia, Denise’s wife, and a new character in the series.
