  33. In season 1, episode 6, “Pillow Talk”, when Nick and Andrew are talking to Duke Ellington (voiced by comedian Jordan Peele) in NYC after Duke’s encounter with the elderly lady, there is a billboard behind them with Daniel Kaluuya’s face on it. It’s a movie advert that reads, “Stay Out”. This is a spoof of the movie “Get Out”, Jordan’s directorial debut film that has been widely hailed by critics as a must-see cross between psychological horror and comedy.
  34. Many of the musical numbers in the show are parodies of other popular songs: “Everybody Bleeds” parodies REM’s “Everybody Hurts,” “I Feel Like Sh*t (This Must Be Love)” parodies Aerosmith’s “Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing,” “Life is a F-ed Up Mess” parodies the “Electric Slide” by Marcia Griffiths, and “Totally Gay” parodies many Queen songs, most notably “Somebody to Love.”
  35. The Ponytail Something’s last victim in episode 10 “Pornscape” is Karl Lagerfeld, head creative designer of the fashion house Chanel.
  36. The intro music for this show is a cover by Charles Bradley of the Black Sabbath’s tune “Changes”.

  40. 49. Though it’s clear that Jay, voiced by Jason Mantzoukas, has hit puberty as his storylines often focus on his sexuality and his habit of using inanimate objects in inappropriate ways, the character oddly lacks a Hormone Monster. This is is especially odd due to his closeness to the other main characters, who all have their own.
  50. Big Mouth’s iconic intro theme song is a soulful rendition of Black Sabbath’s Changes by Charles Bradley, that puts a new spin on the song in the context of the shows’ themes of puberty and coming of age.
