Why Benjamin Franklin did not write the Declaration of Independence

Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, was admired for his wit, kind personality, scientific accomplishments, as well as diplomatic ability.

“Gentlemen, we must now all hang together, or we shall most assuredly all hang separately”, he said after having finished  signing the document.
