15 facts about Ken Jeong

About a week ago, my little eye spotted a hilarious video on Youtube. The video featured, comedian, Ken Jeong who took an internship in Vogue. My gosh, I loved him even more, so I wanted to get top know him a little bit better! If you are as interested as I am, these are some facts you should know about him!
  1. Ken Jeong was born on July 13, 1969.
  2. He was born in Detroit.
  3. His parents were South Korean immigrants.
  4. He was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, and attended Walter Hines Page High School.
  5. When he was in school he took part in the Quiz Bowl team, played violin in the orchestra, and was elected to student council.
  6. He graduated at 16 and his achievements earned him Greensboro’s Youth of the Month award.
  7. He attended and graduated from Duke University in 1990. He got his M.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 1995.
  8. He completed his internal medicine residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans while developing his stand-up comedy.
  9. Ken is a licensed physician in California but he no longer practices because he gave it up to become an actor and comedian.
  10. Ken won the Big Easy Laff-Off in 1995, of which NBC president Brandon Tartikoff and The Improv founder Budd Friedman were judges, and they both urged Jeong to move to Los Angeles.
  11. He made his film debut in Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up as Dr. Kuni.
  12. He has appeared in Pineapple Express, All About Steve,The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, Couples Retreat, The Hangover, The Hangover Part II, and The Hangover Part III. And in other movies.
  13. In 2015, Jeong starred, wrote, and executive produced the pilot of his new ABC medical comedy, Dr. Ken, as a frustrated HMO doctor juggling his career, marriage and parenting.
  14. His wife’s name is Tran Ho and she is Vietnamese American. She is also a family physician.
  15. They have two daughters!
