Read in the list below 10 predictions of the famous movie “Back to the future” that didn’t come true! And for some of them it was maybe for the best!
1. Flying cars
It’d be amazing to have air highways and flying cars, better yet, time traveling cars. However, cars aren’t like the rest of the technology that is rapidly growing and changing. There have been people who’ve invented flying cars, but none that look like the DeLorean DMC-12.
Although several people have attempted creating a hover board, there still isn’t one like the red anti-gravity board Marty uses in the movie to soar the sky. We’ll have to wait for virtual reality consoles to hit the market and see if someone makes a hoverboard simulation game.
3. Dehydrated food
Dehydration and rehydration of food is still something we don’t really have that much of, though we obviously have some, if you count pasta and rice and such.
4. Fax machines are not the preferred form of communication
Back to the Future II asserts that sending information by fax is the most efficient way to communicate in 2015, but we now know that fax machines were only useful for a very short time, almost exactly like laser discs.
5. Double ties are not an acceptable look
6. Nobody uses laser discs anymore
7. Princess Diana is dead and we’ve still haven’t had a female President
8. Power clothing
Now this is one thing we wish 2015 had brought: jackets that dry themselves and shoes that lace themselves up.
9. Rejuvenation masks/clinics
A whole lot of people would appreciate these rejuvenating masks and clinics, but unfortunately the technology for that is not here yet. We won’t be able to peel of our face and look young and beautiful like Doc did in the movie.
10. Stationary exercise bicycles at Cafes
It’d be a bit ridiculous if these existed. Let’s hope that throughout the year 2015 gyms and cafes remain separated.
