Sigmund Freud, the Austrian neurologist who became known as the founding father of psychoanalysis, was appointed a university lecturer in neuropathology in 1885 and became a professor in 1902. Apart from his ideas regarding the unconscious, dreams, psychosexual development or ego and super-ego Freud had several hobbies to spend his time when not analysing the human personality.
He used to go on hiking and gathering wild mushrooms, usually at the same time.
