Hubert Rochereau’s parents left his bedroom in the village of Belabre untouched when the young French soldier fell in a battle on the Western Front in the final year of World War I in 1918, as the Daily Mirror reports.
The bedroom has been left untouched for almost a century in honour of his memory.
However, the house was sold in 1936 by his parents, with the instruction that the bedroom remain untouched for 500 years!
