Great white sharks can be found in the coastal surface waters of all major oceans and they are mainly known for its size, with mature individuals growing up to 6.4 m in length or even over 8 m in some cases.
According to the National Geographic, great white sharks can detect one drop of blood in 25 gal (100 L) of water and can sense even tiny amounts of blood in the water up to 3 mi (5 km) away.
Humans are not the preferred prey of the great white shark, although the great white shark is by far responsible for the largest number of fatal unprovoked attacks on humans.
Unlike most sharks, the great white shark is warm-blooded!
