How many bees work for a teaspoon?

Honey, the only food which includes all the substances necessary to sustain life, is the product of the honey bees, known as Apis mellifera.

But how many bees work for a teaspoon? An average worker bee produces about 1/12th teaspoon of honey in her lifetime, in other words, a teaspoon of honey represents the life work of 12 bees!
