Braille is a tactile writing system used by the blind and the visually impaired. But do you know its origins?
Napoleon demanded a method of communication that would not need light or sound.
The so called, “Night Writing” was developed as a tactile military code, but proved too difficult for Napoleon’s troops to learn and that’s why it was rejected.
Later on, “Night writing” became the basis for braille.
